Treston International College and the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) in Macao officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on January 24, 2025, at the Treston Bar and Dining Hall, marking the beginning of a promising partnership aimed at enriching academic exchange and expanding global career opportunities for students.
Academic Director Prof. Maria Carolina Abanil of Treston International College, and Dr. Teresa Loong, Vice-Rector for Student Life at USJ in Macao co-led the signing ceremony.
The event was attended by distinguished representatives from both institutions, reaffirming their shared commitment to fostering holistic education and cross-cultural learning experiences.
Representing Treston International College were Engr. Allan Godfrey Sagun, Head of the School of Technology; Mr. Kenneth Castillo, Senior High School Assistant Principal; and Ms. Gladys Estrella, Head of Student Affairs & Services Office.
For their part, the delegation from the University of Saint Joseph Macao included Prof. Carlos Sena Caires, Dean of the Faculty of Arts & Humanities; Prof. Alessandro Lampo, Program Coordinator for the Bachelor of Business Administration; Prof. Karen Tagulao, Program Coordinator for the Master of Environmental Sciences and Management; Prof. Gerald Estadieu, Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Arts & Humanities; and Mr. Ben Lei, Head of the Domestic Student Recruitment Office.
This MOU signing opens doors to innovative academic collaborations, student and faculty exchanges, and joint research initiatives, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to shaping globally competitive students.
