TRESTON, UMak partner to empower students with global-standard TESDA NC certifications

Treston International College (TRESTON), through its Technical Vocational and Livelihood (TVL) Center, formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the University of Makati (UMak) on August 19, 2025. This collaboration marks a significant step in strengthening academic and industry linkages, as both institutions commit to providing TESDA NC assessment services to UMak students under various qualifications in Tourism and Hospitality Services.
Leading the signing for Treston were Ms. Maria Carolina Abanil, Academic Director, along with the TVL team: Ms. Ma. Theresa Verian, TVL Supervisor; Ms. Sheril Pastolero, TVL Program Coordinator; and Ms. Khristine Crisostomo, TVL Recruitment Coordinator. Also present was Dr. Jazzy Buela, School Head of the School of Culinary, Hospitality & Tourism of TRESTON.
Representing UMak were Prof. Elyxzur Ramos, University President, together with Ms. Juvy Hermosura, University Secretary; Mr. Thomas Ronerick Jao, Dean of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management; Mr. John Brienford Calunod, College Secretary; Ms. Erica Hernandez and Mr. Jefferson Marcelo, Program Chairs; and Ms. Cynthia Jose, Director of the Center for Linkages and Placement.

 

Together, TRESTON and UMak reaffirmed their shared vision of empowering students with globally recognized competencies, underscoring the importance of partnerships in advancing opportunities for students to acquire practical skills and professional certifications that meet global standards.
