TRESTON hosts industry leaders for WeTAP 2026 assembly

Treston International College recently welcomed esteemed industry leaders, educators, and practitioners to its campus, serving as the official venue host for the 2026 Wellness Tourism Association of the Philippines (WeTAP) General Membership Meeting on May 21, 2026. This gathering provided a premier collaborative space dedicated to shaping the future of Philippine wellness and tourism.

 

The event commenced with a solemn invocation led by Treston’s Head of Fitness and Wellness, Mr. Cesar Cruz, Jr., followed by opening remarks from WeTAP President, Ms. Vikki Aquino. Setting a forward-looking tone for the assembly, the program immediately highlighted key industry innovations, beginning with an introduction to the LOVE PH DOT App Platform—a unified digital ecosystem for Philippine tourism—presented by Ms. Kim Bandola and the Positive Exposure team.

 

The general assembly also featured critical industry insights from a distinguished lineup of speakers. Mr. Faheem Ebrahim discussed the strategic integration of AI in wellness tourism initiatives, while Dr. Paulo Tugbang of the Department of Tourism delivered a data-driven analysis of current wellness and sustainability trends. These presentations were further complemented by updates on Global Wellness Day PH from Ms. Paola Restrepo, followed by the official launch of the WeTAP 12 Excellence Wellness Series.

 

The event concluded with a closing remark from WeTAP Treasurer, Mr. Ramon Mariñas.
